Perseverance..!!
Perseverance..!!
· You've failed many times, although you may not remember. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim, didn't you? Did you hit the ball the first time you swung a bat? Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the most home runs, also strike out a lot.
· Walt Disney was turned down 302 times before he got financing for his dream of creating the "
· Colonel Sanders spent two years driving across the
· R.H. Macy failed seven times before his store in
· English novelist John Creasey got 753 rejection slips before he published 564 books.
· Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times, but he also hit 714 home runs. Don't worry about failure, Worry about the chances you miss when you don't even try. Having said this, keep in mind that you must constantly reevaluate your circumstances and the approach you are using to reach your goal. There is no sense in being persistent at something that you are doing incorrectly! Sometimes you have to modify your approach along the way. Every time you do something you learn from it, and therefore find a better way to do it the next time.

Power of Association:
Finally the kite laid her eggs there and after laying all her eggs she flew away with the flock.
After some time she came back to the same place to take her young ones. She easily recognized their children among the chickens.
She told the children to fly with her, the children agreed as they recognized their mother and came towards her to fly with her, but none of the children could fly like the flock. The mother got worried as to why they could not fly. She checks their wings, legs & tail and found everything normal, she persuaded & coaxed them to try & fly again & again, but to no avail.
Eventually she realized her mistake of laying her eggs among the chicken and leaving them alone to fend for themselves.
Moral: The people that surround you influence your path, your attitude, your determination, and the outcome of your success.

Drona Vs Arjun
Drona Vs Arjun
An abstract from Mahabharat unveils the power of practice over skills.
The story highlights the conversation between Kauravs and Dronacharya. Drona was questioned by Kauravs to comment on the archery skills of his disciple Arjun, if he was better than his mentor. The Guru thought for a moment and replied – “Arjun is a better archer”. Kauravs were bewildered to hear the words and questions started floating in their minds. How can a disciple surpass his guru in the lessons learnt from him? Drona sensed the perplexity and answered- “I have been in Gurukul, so did Arjun. We lived an austere life and observed discipline and learnt our lessons thoroughly throughout the period. However, the hardships borne by Arjun during the period of 13 yrs of exile(Agyatvaas), sharpened his archery skills.”
The story unfolds the significance of practice and implementation over the theoretical knowledge. Comfort & leisure has to be renounced for achieving the targets in life.
To sum up - Adversity accompanies practice; practice makes a man perfect and perfection is not made overnight.

Attitude..!!
Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the water close to Japan has not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring the fish. If the return trip took more time, the fish were not fresh. To solve this problem, fish companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish. And they did not like the taste of frozen fish. The frozen fish a lower price. So, fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, they were tired, dull, and lost their fresh-fish taste. The fishing industry faced an impending crisis! But today, they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan. How did they manage? To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks but with a small shark. The fish are challenged and hence are constantly on the move. The challenge they face keeps them alive and fresh! Have you realized that some of us are also living in a pond but most of the time tired and dull? Basically in our lives, sharks are new challenges to keep us active. If you are steadily conquering challenges, you are happy. Your challenges keep you energized. Don't create success and revel in it in a state of inertia. You have the resources, skills and abilities to make a difference. Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go. “Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character."
